Jeff has 25 years of real estate, private equity and financial services experience. As an independent consultant before joining SandsPoint, Jeff advised and provided services to new or early stage real estate private equity businesses. In this capacity, he provided guidance on financial and management reporting, private offering process and materials, outsourced accounting engagement, training, risk management and valuation.
Prior to his consulting work, Jeff was at Clarion Partners as the Chief Financial Officer of ING Real Estate Global Opportunity Fund. He joined this fund business at its inception, and led all legal, tax and operational structuring, finance, risk management and many components of investor relations and the private offering process. Jeff came to Clarion Partners from Lehman Brothers, where he was a Principal and Senior Vice President of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners (LBREP), an opportunistic global real estate platform with both equity and mezzanine investment funds. He was responsible for several aspects of global financial and risk management, legal and foreign tax structuring, valuation and performance reporting. Jeff joined Lehman’s real estate private equity platform as it prepared to launch its first fund in 2001, and was instrumental in leading the development of operations, internal and external reporting, policies/procedures and fund and investor analysis.
Before Lehman Brothers, he was a controller at Goldman Sachs for the Whitehall Real Estate Funds. Jeff began his career in public accounting, working in both audit and tax, and was an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a CPA and holds a BS in Accounting from Lehigh University.
